SEAT Ibiza 1.4 DAB 2006 - Airbox intake question?

Hello All,

Have a quick question that I hope some of you may well be able to answer.
Before anyone asks I have found and utilised the search facility:):)

After much research I have decided to put a green cotton panel filter in the motor. Especially after finding out they only change the standard one at 20,000 miles.

One of the threads that I read was about changing the intake pipe into the airbox. But they were talking about diesel ibizas i.e. cupra intake wider than pd130 so good cheap mod for the car combined with a panel filter.

My question is can I change the intake pipe on my 1.4 DAB with one from a petrol cupra? Don't want huge performance gains just an improved airflow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Vince.

the ibiza cupra diesel and the petrolintakes are the same and yes will fit your 1.4 twinned with the green pannel filter and cutting the flap out of thhe intake at the front will give you much better air flow

the cupra intak wont fit or go anywhere but into your battery, only thing would be run ducting from intake on engine cover to the grill about 10 cm away
