SEAT Ibiza 1.2S reviewed in Autocar (they say best in the range)

Always worrying when they say the 1.2S is 'the best' engine in the range!!! God help the Cupra.

Good to see the little one getting a good review though, so no complaints here.

I have to say the 1.2 is very good, picks up alot better than the 1.4 round town like the review says but then is abit dead after that.

When I have had Mk 4 Ibiza loan cars I thought that the 1.2 was nicer to drive than the 1.4. The engine didn't feel so strangled.

Before I plumped for my new 1.2 Mk5 Ibiza in Red, I test drove the 1.4 and it didn't feel very responsive at all. Obviously better at the top end but round town the 1.2 is much better, as a few of the reviews say. My previous car which was a 1.2 Mk4, was pretty nippy and quick off the mark as well.
