R36...

It's the kind of car you "want", but are never realistically going to buy.

Sadly, I have to agree with you...

I would be interested in maybe a 2.0 TFI, possibly with a bit more poke, but I wouldn't be too upset with 200ps, possibly a 2.0 TDi.

It would have to be a tourer for me. I still don't know why anyone would by a saloon. It would be fantastic if it could be a bit sporty, half decent suspension etc, big wheels.

Interesting to see where it fits with the Octavia.

Do ya think ya'll buy one mOrk? if so what engine????

It's not pulling my heart strings really (but then I think I'm not the demographic they're after: later 20's DINKY)

It's exactly the kind of car I'd want if I drove for a living, or 'had' to have a sensible car.

Hopefully they'll stay away from N/a engines & stick to what works with LPT's and Diesels, and do what SEAT used to do best, which is load it up with kit & make the options list short.

That'll mean that most cars can be supplied from stock, rather than 12 week factory orders (which nobody will wait for) and a well kitted out car.

My next company car list gets longer and longer, currently have the Leon FR TDI on a 57 plate which I absolutely love but require a bit more boot space to be honest. Thing is the Leon has absolutely spoiled me regarding performance, equipment and looks so my next choice is going to be a tough one!

At the minute it's either:

Seat Exeo Sport Tourer 170 Sport
Superb 170 Elegance
Nissan Navara Aventura (Equivalent to a £1200 a year pay rise due to the fact it's a commercial vehicle :) )

I've a feeling that I will get a drive of an Exeo fairly quickly as my dealer knows we have A4 at managerial level and a few of those are coming up for renewal, anyone know when dealers will be getting their demos delivered?

Just a bit more info

With its UK showroom debut now just weeks away, the SEAT Exeo is set to be joined at the head of the upper-medium segment by a more capacious cousin - the SEAT Exeo ST - which makes its world debut at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show.

Available to order at the same time as the saloon goes on sale here, the new estate significantly strengthens SEAT's offering to those searching for an executive class car that combines great driving appeal and remarkable value for money.

Measuring 4.67 metres in length and boasting a boot capacity of 442 litres, the Exeo ST brings even more practicality, elegance and sporting style to its market segment.

Like its saloon sibling, the Exeo ST will be manufactured on a new line at the Brand's modern factory in Martorell, near Barcelona. The firm has confirmed that its latest luxurious Latin newcomer, due to go on sale here in April, will be offered here in S, SE, Sport and range-topping SE Lux trim levels, with an initial choice of three outstanding engines.

All Euro V-compliant, the powerplant selection include a brace of hi-tech common rail turbodiesels producing 143 PS or 170 PS, as well as a potent 200 PS turbocharged petrol. They are all mated, as standard, to a six-speed manual gearbox and all endow the Exeo with spirited performance.

Among the equipment highlights guaranteed to appear across the Exeo ST line-up are Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity; cruise control; steering wheel-mounted audio controls; dual zone climate control and stylish alloy wheels.

Like its saloon counterpart in the line-up, an extensive array of options will allow Exeo ST buyers to precisely personalise their cars. A DVD-based satellite navigation system, double-glazed side windows, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, and hi-tech solar sunroof all number among the extras available.

The Exeo ST will be available to order from 2 April, with the first deliveries of right-hand drive cars to UK buyers likely at the end of the summer
