Seat Exeo noise

Recent purchase of a 2010 Seat Exeo TDI

It has developed two possibly related issues (or possibly not related!):

- When in gear, it often pulls a bit without pressing the accelerator - most evident in third or fourth, and I can get the car to keep going on the winding country lanes round here for hundreds of metres without the accelerator pressed.

- Loud over-revving type noise from the front of the car (?) when accelerating / under load, which seems to be getting worse over time. However, I don't think it's actually over-revving, because I think you can hear the normal revving tone in the background at the same time. This noise slowly gets less loud and tails off if you take your foot off the accelerator and start slowing speed down. No problems at idle, or while revving out of gear. No difference whether engine hot or cold.

The car otherwise seems to work fine - in other words whatever the noise is, it isn't (yet) affecting the running of the car.

Any ideas? Clutch? Turbo?

I am booked into a garage, but not until 9 July.

Thanks!
