Thanks for being so nice when i came to get some parts today. although the guy i needed to speak to was off site dealing with a problem for a while, they made me a cup of tea and regulary appologised for the wait.
Everyone was very nice and pleasant.
Thankyou.

Why did you go to Bournemouth when your in Southampton and your nearest Dealership is in North Baddesley?

Is it because the North Baddesley garage is Kings Seat and they have a rough rep on here?

iv heard bad comments about Kings. I always go to Meadens out at Sway. Same company as Bournemouth Seat but much better service etc, as they are smaller.

I believe Seat have kicked them out now.

Is that the case? Heard, and had a letter from them saying they are closing the current Bournemouth sales and workshop setup and opening a workshop only elsewhere in Bournemouth and just keeping the site at Sway for sales - whether this will become Skoda and SEAT now, who knows. Seems that there website has now gone offline.

Anyone else heard anything on this? I can't be fully clear as the letter we had from them was very 'woolly' and ambiguous it was rubbish and didn't really say exactly what was going on!

Thats what I was told, but when I phoned Seat UK the other week to find my nearest dealer, they said Bournemouth was still operating as Seat.
So I don't know!
I know someone who own's property that Seat rent, so I'll try and find out.

I live by Bournemouth Seat well what was Bournemouth. Iv been up to Hankinson Road, so they must have lost the Seat name as there is no way they can operate effectively from there. I went into Bournemouth a couple of times. The only team member that had any time for customers was the parts bloke. I bought my car from Meadens, and always took it back there. they are so much better even if they are part of the same group. AND although at Sway they carry the Skoda badge, you can still order new Seat's through them. Agreed on the other post, its a bit of a waste of money when they upgraded the showroom a few months back, although personally I saw no difference. I expect it will soon be some nice flats going in there.

im due a 50 k service soon, ive not been up hankinson road yet to have a look!god knows where i will get it serviced then!

Got my leon from bournemouth. It's s hame the dealership has closed down.

I'm not sure i want to go to meadens even though they have given me a bunch of 20% off servicing vouchers for my next and consecutive services as they are i presume no longer a approved seat service centre.

Are Kings not a good dealership?

I'm thinking of taking my car back to Westerham in kent as they were always very helpful.

You would expect them to be cheaper now they are not an authorised dealer!

yea me step dadfs just brought a candy apple white ibiza dab edition from bournemouth,he visited hankinson road and spoke to the guys who siad you will still get the same great level of service, and yes because weve not got such big overheads things will be cheaper!

My ibiza is geting close to service time now i may just give em a shot as i would like to exstend my warranty for another year and will need the stamp:blink:

Simply put they aren't. If you want to have any warranty work done they will charge from what the seat customer care advisor Robert told me earlier on the phone. Normal servicing can be done there.

Heres a guide on an leon 1.4tsi march 08 needing first service

Meadens Service centre (Formerly Bournemouth Seat) £160 (including a 20% off voucher)

Kings Seat Southampton £149.90

Chosen service centre £123.77

cool this is very handy to know ...although i no longer have warranty it can still get normal service and get the stamp apparently my mate went to our seat dealer and it took 2hours + 180quid for an oil change and half topped up wash thing.. rather annoying but i want ti for the stamp!

i heard a aldis is going there:blink::blink:

I drove past Hankinson Rd the other day and it looks like a tiny back road garage behind some houses!! But as you all say, the labour rates shoul be cheaper for sure!

i kept harping on about me 50k service and have finally had it done.£152.00,the guys there were very helpfull and i was advised i need two new front consul bushes on the front! they quated 147.89 but luckily i forgot and im still under warranty and having it done next week, they are even providing me with a curtesy car as i drive around as part of my job!

all in all im impressed with the service they have offered;)
