seat dealers!!! grrr

hey there i recently took my lcr to seat dealer in peterborough to get them to look a few niggles under warranty!... its a 03 lcr but it had the extended 4 year warranty that runs out in april!..

basicaly i took it in for them to look at a boot rattle.. which im pretty sure is the the metal bar that goes between the lock mechinism and the handle ..but i dont see why i should struggle to take the plastic trim off and risk breaking it.. and then it had a slight knockin on the steering and a vibrating on the exhaust which i think is the heat sheild

well they had the car in while i went into town at about 9am.. n they were spose to ring me when it was ready!.. well come 12:30 no fone call so i ring up.. and they say hold on ill find out if its ready.. ..yes sir ur car is ready!.. well thanks for phoning me earlier!!... go back.. n they confirm the work that needs doin..top suspension mounts. hav play in them.. boot needs stripping n they reckon the exhaust was hitting the bumper... so theyve had it all mornin and basicaly done nowt.. they ask to see the extended warranty book.. he then says that the company regency..who runs the extended warranty have gone bankrupt and the last job they did under them they never got paid for.. so told me to ring the number for the company ..so got home rang the number and theres a message saying evyrthings been transfered to another company and to ring them..so ring them and aparently im the only one it would seem who havent been transfered onto there system.. but after faxing my extended warrantee certificate to them they transfered me onto there system

....well i get back to the seat garage and give them the number of this new company.. he says he will pass it onto the manager.. and get back to me by the following day friday!!..which they didnt!.. so ring on sat mornin and the managers gone home.. rite ok..ill ring monday shall i.. yep ..so i ring monday.. oh the managers on holiday... i can get some1 else to deal with it tho.. so spoke to some1 gave them the number again..... they tell me they get back to me by the following day....well since then ive rang up numerous times and they keep fobbing me orf and failing to get back to me about it after promising too... sick of giving them my mobile number and explaining about the thing again and again grrrr

sorry about the rant!..lol...well to be honest ive had enuff of them now.. ive never liked the place when i bin there before..as they mess you about so much .. and only went because of the warranty

i was wondering if it was worth taking the car to another garage like the skoda garage.. and tell them the situation.. would they still be able to get the jobs done under the extended warrantee?..any thoughts?

well the best thing is to ring them and ask. explain every thing in one go and they should give you a straight answer

Don't ring. Go in ask to see the manager or whoever is in charge and do it face to face.
Be polite but firm and get them to sort it while your there.
It's harder to fob you off if your taking up floor space with other customers there.

The director could also be the dealer principle

Not when it comes to litigation.

The dealer is keeping your car for seveal days and refusing to comunicate with you etc. los of use ££££££

It is amazing how many different ways you can view poor custome service!
