Seat Cordoba year 2000 1.9 TDI AC constantly 22 degrees

I have Seat Cordoba year 2000 1.9 TDI. Recently the AC module stopped working. I cannot control the AC.
When I switch the ingition on after few seondws it starts to blow and the temp on the display shows 22 degrees C. Im unable to stop it or change the temperature.
Any ideas?

I'd be checking fuses... and maybe the AC refrigerant it topped up

From memory the external temp sensor needs to be working too

Do you know by any chance if there is an internal temp sensor (I mean there should be as the AC can be set to specific temp) and if there is one where is it situated?
