Right, ive used Seat Assistance before but can never remember how long you get a car in this scheme? The garage believe its 48 hours, but I can sorta remember speaking to them directly 6 months ago, and got told it was 72 hours +

How long do I get a car for under this scheme?

Thanks,

Well thing is the garage it will go into has a car for thursday, but not before.... I need a car to get to work etc, work nights so no other transport on, and tbh even if there was, I wouldnt!

Anyway, so if I ring them i'll need to make sure I have a car till the thursday.

I dont want to just ring up and ask, as they might get funny and say why not now why wait till monday etc etc....

In that case, from memory I'm sure you only get a car if yours is undriveable for whatever reason so maybe the garage is correct.

The car is for 3 days I belive, well mine is anyway as I have just checked.

The other thing is you have to request the car within 48hrs of the breakdown.

I had to call SEAT assistance last December when my diff eat it's self, I was only ment to get a hire car for 48 hours, but due to some confusion SEAT arrainged for me to keep it for one extra day, by which time my dealer had a curtesy car available.

Seat assist

I work for the AA and therefore we are Seat Assist.Just to clarify,we supply cars to Seat customers if a repair or even a temporary repair cannot be carried out at the roadside for whatever reason.Cars are supplied (subject to availability) for 48 hours from the time of breakdown. If its out of hours we can arrange an appointment with Avis for you to collect the car yourself upto 2 days after the breakdown.
Obviously this service is only available after a breakdown situation that a repair cannot be made.If the car is going in for routine maintenance or you get the car to the dealer yourself then its upto the dealer to provide.
Be prepared for a £250 deposit only payable by credit card
Cheers
