Seat Altea Xl 2.0 Tdi rattle noise underneath

Hello folks,
Bought a 56 plate Altea Xl Stylance 2.0tdi a few weeks back from a SEAT dealer. Over the past few days it has developed a very loud metallic clattering noise when going over uneven roads or slight bumps. A local exhaust fitter has had it up on the ramp and ruled out loose exhaust mounts, so im wondering what the issue may be. Its booked in next week at the dealer i bought it from. Is this a common problem on Alteas from anyones experience?

Is it tinny type noise? - loose heat shield
Lower pitch thunking sound is possibly drop links - these seem to wear out rapidly on all sorts of cars these days - probably our crap roads.

Must have jinxed myself! getting a loud rattle from the rear on mine coming to work this evening!
everything i read about on this board seems to happen to me a few days later
