This might seem a basic question but can anyone tell me where the second fuse box is on a 94 Altea - I have an Alternator warning light on, have output but doesn't charge. so I'm tryiing to check the alternator fuse . The book says side engine compartment but I can't see anything unless it's part of the main fuse box.

Thanks

Hi Mac,

The main box houses a series of fuses accessedfrom the top, can't seea nything around the battery and there is another one under the dash. Downloaded the manual from Seat and that doesn't help either.

There's the fuse box under the dash. There's a second fuse box just to the right hand side of the battery holder (number 3 in this picture just out of shot).

Thanks - I have located these 2 but the manual refers to a 3rd fuse box which contains a 30 & 50A fuse for the alternator.

I wonder if it's part of the mani box but located on the battery side and not visible. I'll pull the battery out and see what's there.
