Seat airbag

Just bought some VAG seat covers off ebay, they fit ok (a little tight). Trouble is there are no holes for the seat airbags to deploy.
Does anybody know where (and how big) these holes should be for a 2000 sport's seats, i think they are the same as the cupra.

not sure how big they should be to be honest, i was wondering if i needed to mark/ weaken the inside of the leather on the retrim i want in order for the airbags to deploy through it should they ever need to (hope not). Think my best bet is ask the guy that is going to retrim mine.

Are they OEM or are they somebody elses?

If not OEM I'd be worried about how the lack of a slot would impact (sorry) on the thorax airbag deployment. If you must have seat covers, OEM's would be the only ones that pay particular attention to this...

Otherwise, borrow from someone who has OEM covers, cut a slightly bigger hole and pray you never have a side impact...

PS: My work involves sensor calibration for vehicle airbag/pretentioner systems. I'm not making this up!

PPS: Sorry to put a downer on things.

The covers came in VAG packaging (Part no. 1M0 885 806 AJ EEG COVER). I think they are supposed to go on a standard leon's front seats (am I right in thinking the early cupras and sports have different seats).

What I need to know is does the airbag deploy next to the tag on the seat.
