Seat Airbag disable?

Right does anyone know if you can disable the ECU from looking for the two seat airbags in the Mk4? Either that or is there something that can be plugged into the airbag plugs to trick the ECU into thinking they're plugged in?

You can turn the passenger one off with the key in the glove box...

not sure about drivers side..

I'm not trying to disable the front driver and passenger airbags. I want to fool the ECU into thinking the ones in the seats are still plugged in.

Reason being I'm thinking of replacing the front seats in my Ibiza. The only problem is that the airbag light would be on and the front airbags disabled because the seats are missing.

Ah right...

Qwhen o bought Cobra daytona's for my old fiesta zetec-s, they came with the plug to connect to the seatbelt tensioners so the airbag light wouldn't be on.

Yeah I've heard talk of resistors but no actual info that's of use.
