Sorry for yet another sat nav question but I want to check this befiore I either buy a new card or update.

When i bought my car (2019 leon MIB2) it had no sat nav card but the box was there (V7)
seller bought a new card for me (V9)and when I popped it in it all worked fine.
So I have investigated upgrading the maps and have downloaded the V17 map.
I know i have to keep the OVERALL.NDS from the original card for it to work, and in order for it to fit on the 16gb card I have to remove the voices.
So all good.
But as the maps are getting larger it has been suggested here to buy a 32gb European card like this

Would I have to do the OVERALL.NDS workaround on this new card for it to work? Or will it just work from the get go ( like the V9 did)?

The other option I seen is to install MIBSTD2 toolbox and then patch the unit so it can use any sd card.

If I did that would I still need the OVERALL.NDS workaround or does the CID lock removal render that not needed?

As I would have to pay around £7 for a 32gb card, install the toolbox software etc I might as well pay £22 for a whole working card and then can just to the annual download and workaround.
