Scratches on top of dash - removal?

Because I'm a :censored: idiot, I've ended up with scratches on top of the dash on the passenger side. No, not from the wife's high heels :p but from loading some timber through the hatch to lay down into the passenger footwell... Covered all the seats and stuff, but wasn't watching where the end of the timber was going.

The marks are in the softer textured plastic of the dash. Any tips / ideas for removing them or at least making them less obvious?

Depending on the depth and severity of the scratches you can sometimes disguise them quite well by the application of Armor All or another ineterior trim enhancer.
Failing that some of those smart repair companies will do a plastic weld style repair on a dash where they sort of melt the plastic back to it's original pattern. Not sure how easy that would be if it's on the rubbery dimply bit of dash but easy enough on the hard plastic bits.

Hi Andy, Yeah on the rubbery dimply bit... Did think about the Armor-all type stuff but didn't want to make it worse if there was a better way. Will go and have a twiddle and see how I get on, though some of them are quite deep where the end of the rough-sawn timber rubbed on the dash while I was putting it in and then again when I realised what had happened and I was trying to lift it out... Doh!
