looks like a kid on a bike or something similar has scratched the rear bumper :(
anyone any good tips for making it less obvious without it costing the earth.. ?
Its magic black (would be wouldnt it) scratch is showing up as a white mark going down from the O/S light cluster area to where the bumper curves outward.

TIA

Polish it. use some "Finesse it" i think its called....we use it in work. If not there is some stuff available called "Hand Glaze." takes the white off things. T Cut or touch it in with some black magic paint. Halfords sell it but at a rip off price. its a vw colour.

If its going to need a repair anyway you could touch it in with a permanent black marker meantime....................... did the trick to cover the chips when I traded my BMW in :cheeky:

It wont get rid of it all together. but might take the whiteness off. ask a bodyshop to touch it in as best as they can. we charge a fiver i think. Touching it in will do the best job....when i scratched my car....(don't ask) touched it in with normal black paint...looked s**t hot actually!

Might be worth a look. i think its £50 we charge for a bumper to be sprayed....not sure. Halfords touch in is £10 for the little pen things. hope this helps a bit. cheers

some ***** decided to key my baby down tghe 1\4 panel the other week and i thought straight away it would need spraying (i have the black magic) but hold your horses i work in accident repair so the painters flattened down the laccur and polished it and the whole sctrach was gone they even got loads of scratches out the door that i had when i bought it so cheers for whoever keyed my car  MY CAR LOOKS BETTER FOR IT :p :birdy: :w4nk:

it could just be a scratch on the serface of the laccur making it look bad but can be sorted really cheaply!

Don't T-cut it unless you want to do more damage than its worth.

Have a search for wet sanding on detailing world.

Basically yoy touch up scratch with paint, flatten it off with 3000 Grit sandpaper, [about as smooth as plain paper] then polish the marks out, AG super resin polish would be good by hand, then seal and wax it..

thats what i though the scratches really stick out on the old black magic! if it is the laccur try a reall fine wet and dry sand paper to flatten down the laccur (dont go to far but dont be shy!) and then polish it up and it should be good as new :D

Try calling a few smart repairers, chips away for example. They love Black, they say its so easy to blend in!
