Scratch on bonnet!!

Help!!! major panic!
does anyone out there know where i can get a wax colour pen for my car. i have fine scratch on the bonnet caused by the brush used at a jet wash :censored: that has only damaged the laquer. colour magic do a wax pen which would fill the scratch but they only do a silver and mine is platinum grey 2004 cupra 20vt.
Please help:cry:

I'd try Halfords mate. My dad had a gun metallic Avensis (i guess a similar colour to yours). He got one from there and it seemed to work ok. The colour doesn't have to be a perfect match as it blends in. It was pretty good on his car although i guess you might be able to still see a slight mark if it's on the bonnet as it is always in the light !!.

Unfortunately, silver/grey metallic is the worst colours to try and get scratches out of (apparently), one of the sprayers at the garage told us !!. A bonnet can be resprayed for about £200 at backstreet garages and the match is spot on, especially if they completely respray the whole bonnet rather than a patch !

before you go filling or paiting the bonnet try and get it machine polished using a porter cable or similar. You'll be amazed what can be achieved and wouldn't be surprised if if totally removed the scratch.

You may find that Meguiars ScratchX can remove the scratch if it's only a fine one in the laquer (sp?) You can generally get it from Halfrauds so easily available

Steve B, i got a tube of scratch x and tried it this morning, BRILLIANT!!! it did the trick mate, in fact i'm now going to go over the entire car with it.
