Schoolboy Error

OK, after opening my drivers side door for far too long by putting the window down and using the outside handle I thought Id best replace the snapped cable (which I did) but I foolishly cracked a huge hole in the speaker cover!

This is the fun part, I rang SEAT to order another and they dont sell them, they could only offer me a new door card at around £65.00, nice.

So has anyone got an old door card lying around that they could remove the speaker cover from and sell to me?

Cheers, David

My speaker grille looks like it has come unstuck and the top part of it is hanging out, it's not cracked though.

It looks like it would pull out in one piece...

My drivers side speaker grille has a huge crack going down it and the bottom half always comes out, imo the whole thing would come come off quite easily as it just pops back in, getting one to replace it with is a pain!

Done similar BUT the local garage repaired it and glued it so that the crack can't be seen at all - not sure what he used but he did say that it was like superglue BUT had a putty-like consistency to it so that it was applied and stayed in place. Job done when the door card was off for a knackered window regulator, but that's another story! HTH

I know its not ideal but could you not use an aftermarket speaker grill? Cut the old mesh out then put that in to look a bit better?
