Hi,

I'm planning on buying a Seat Ibiza 1.2 TSi FR next month, something ideally 2013-2015 plate, however I have a question before doing so!

Sat-Nav - I noticed some cars come with a satnav with a sort of cradle mounted on the dash above the radio, is this a built in thing or can I buy one later and attach it, because it looks like there isn't any mounting points on cars that don't have it.

My car is a 2011 and it has a fitting to take a bracket on which a satnav fits. It was necessary to order the fitting as an option at the time of purchase; and most cars came without it so there's nothing on top of the dash. More recent cars don't have the same system and I'm sure that 2013-> cars are indeed not like mine.

Pretty sure there was a face-lift in 2012 and another one in 2015.
Sorry I can't help more....

I have a 14 plate 1.2 Tsi Fr 5 Dr Mk 5 Ibiza.
My sat nav sits on top of the dash board.
Take it off when I park up.

Is there a plastic placeholder left on the dash when you remove it? I've noticed some of them have a clean dash with nothing on it and some with a plastic mounting port thing.

I can't link a picture since I don't have 15 posts.

I believe all face lifts 13 onwards have the Satnav on, only the newer 66/17 have changed to a bigger screen.
