Just got some Ibiza carpet mats as a present. The genuine ones with red trim and red Ibiza logo.

Just went to put them in the car, and noticed they have two holes on each mat to secure them to the floor, but I haven't got the 'pin things' on the carpet to attach them to. Hope this makes sense!

Is this usual?

Thanks

I haven't secured mine to the floor - they don't move anyway!!

The dealer put them in for me and said he didn't put the screws in because the carpet can sometimes rip when removing them.

I remove the mats every week when i clean the car anyway so easier to leave them unscrewed for me.

Like the other guys have said, you don't neccesarily need to screw them into the the carpet as they hold against the cars carpet well enough :)

I found my mats moved under the pedals, and they were the genuine SEAT ones with the red banding.

Go back to the dealer and they'll sort you out with some.
