Hi,

finally got my remap done yesteday , what can i say , bloody chuffed with the results. Car is much quicker now and seems smoother in 2nd all the way up... its pretty mean little car now, have to be a little careful on the throttle in 1st n 2nd because wheelspin is pretty easy with the current road condition - the car now feels that it could bite me if i'm not paying attention , their in considerably more power and torque.

i had a PD100 05 plate, i've changed the filter and air intake and had a remap done by Star Peformance, and i'm now sitting at 150bhp :) very very happy with results.

STAR provide a bloody excellent service, their waiting room has a nice LCD screen to watch TV , free coffee, and xbox to play while you wait. :) Another chap had his plantinum cupra ibiza in and it looked well smart , forgot to ask his name !

thanks santa !!!

:)

Always seem to hear good comments about Star...do they do their own remaps, or is it by Revo/CC etc ?

Should be looking at about 160-170 maybe? Be interesting to see what stoneyford will have as we both have a similar setup.

yeah i was well chuffed , i was expecting 130 , maybe 140 at a push ... to get 150 was a bonus .... maybe i can post the graph at some stage later tonight so you can see the figures i'm getting - always reassuring to get input from you guys.

now my major problem is what next

brakes , suspension , more power ??? :) :) yes !!!!

my bank balance isnt gonna look very healthy in the near future i'm guessing

Ok where to start! You have done the easiest bit first which is the remap!

Next I would sort the handling and braking before you consider more power!

Brakes -- You could go for the 312mm setup but this is difficult as are most things you try to change on the 100PD. You will need the hubs from a 130PD and poss near bearings! Hubs cost about £90 each! Bearings £70ish but you might not need these!

Suspension -- What do you want hard and sporty? Springs and dampers?
I have the Sach Performance kit which is very hard and lowers the car 30mm approx!
Also look for Eibach and Koni! All around the £300-£400 mark

IMHO you definitely want to upgrade your brakes; upgraded my 130PD to the 312mm setup, a distinct improvement over standard and far more reassuring.

Maybe ask Devonmikeyboy if the hubs etc are undamaged/available off his rolled Cupra ?

dont ask me or mike our answer will be all of em

All of them would be nice if money was no object. Me i would do the brakes since when i had my pd130 the brakes where ok for a daily drive but if you pushed it ( like i hope you intend to since you have just paid for more power ) then the brakes where shite. No point driving fast if you cannot stop ! You will probably need to start to save for an uprated clutch.
