Hi guys,

I'm looking at a Sachs clutch and LUK flywheel both the dual as I can't afford to go for a single conversion. I have a REVO custom map stage 1 270bhp and 290llb torque and my standard clutch can't cope. So whilst replacing the clutch I'm looking to do the flywheel too.

Anyone used this combo? Any good? Can get both for £358 delivered.

Sachs and LUK aren't interchangeable. You can run the LUK Fly and clutch cover, with a sachs friction plate. I'm running this set up on my fabia VRS.

Not interchangeable / compatible then? So a Sachs 2 piece clutch would not work with a LUK flywheel? Best to buy a LUK clutch kit and a LUK flywheel?

you can get the dualmass flywheel from euro car parts for a good price.
LUK Dual Mass Flywheel

306 £,, and you get 15% discount if you use the promocode: XMASCLUTCH15

you can use the promocode on clutch kit also.

Yeah Iv found it cheaper on www.carparts4less.co.uk which has exactly the same website as eurocarparts! Just a lot cheaper for the same parts!

I will need a new clutch (dual) and a dual mass flywheel - both LUK are about £360 on CP4L.

surely if the luk l wheel is of OEM spec which i believe it is, you could use sachs, or for that matter any brand of clutch kit for a standard fitment leon

The LUK flywheel has been revised. I know this as I fitted one to the fabia less than a month ago. The LUK fly now is shallower than the Sachs setup. Thus putting a new LUK fly in with Sachs clutch would mean it wouldn't disengage.

Feel free to take the risk and ignore me ;)

Hmmm seems to be conflicting views :/ I'll speak to my local VAG specialist (who is going to fit the parts) ad ask if they know if they can/can't. Not saying anyone is right or wrong but it's a lot of money to spend to find out that they dont fit. I do not want to take that chance!

One has superseded the other. They used to fit. But now, LUK has figured out it can generate more income if it makes it so the LUK clutch has to be fitted too ;)

Looks like I'll be going for a LUK clutch and a LuK flywheel. On carparts4less.co.uk it shows the Sachs as a 2 piece clutch and the LUK as a 3 piece - any reason why? And any idea what llb of torque they can handle?

I suspect the LUK is a complete kit including release bearing. These are concentric and MUST be replaced. Torque wise, apparently they are stronger than the own Sachs. the fabia is stage 2, running 245bhp/350lbft and it doesn't slip :)

Hi folks sorry to revive an old thread... I am new here and purchased a 53 plate LCR some months ago... had a hassle free 4 month splendid driving. However, it looks like I need to replace my clutch and slave cylinder... the previous owner changed it and it has only done 17k since and slave gone again!!!! thinking after much research and scrolling through this forum it's maybe because the flywheel was not changed at the same time, Does anyone have any other suggestions? poor workmanship?

I have paperwork and part no's with what was replaced stating LUK624304909 Clutch Kit & LUK510007110 Concentric Slave Cylinder
The car is standard apart from an added 007 forge so will be looking/pondering to just go with LUK kit and replace it all including dmf for peace of mind as i plan to keep the car for a while...waiting on a price from the garage tomorrow & opinion of a mechanic friend also another friend is going to try source the parts at trade price... Still think it will be costly though :(
