What bolts did either of you use to fix the seats to the floor bracket?
Mine did not come with any bolts so need to source some but not sure on the thread size / name / type etc...
Am I right in thinking a high tensile bolt that screws into the S3 seat frame from the front?

Weird,
Here's a pic of the bracket on S3 seat.
IMG_4881.jpg

This bit meets up with the bracket on the floor after removing LCR seat.
On my LCR seat the 3 holes seen here are filled with two approx 1.5 inch bolts on either side and a rubber stopper thing that all insert into the floor bracket, held on by nuts over the two side bolts from the front.
Both these LCR bolts seem imbedded in the seat frame.

Opposed to the S3 bracket shown, the holes on either side are threaded indicating it better to put a bolt in from the front which locks into the S3 bracket.

The rear wheels of the S3 seat just slots in to the runner as usual, no bolts needed.

Only thing I can think of is I'm trying to fit more of the frame part in than you guys.

Ok i have looked on my car and i have exactly the same as above, there is a receiving part that is part of my floor pan and the part above meets up with it, the two spike's go into a couple of holes and the bolts bolt in to the seat from the front then a plastic cover goes over it all.
The frame on my old seats are exactly the same as the S3 seat frame, and all the bolts are used to fit and did not require any extra.

Dom if you want i can come over and give you a hand at the weekend if you want, i am only in pershore so only a little trip down the M5.

Phillc, cheers. Thanks for the offer.
Think I have sorted it now, phoned TPS and found out the S3 seats need M8 25mm bolts so getting some high tensile ones tomorrow and all should be good.
I've got a mate helping with the wiring for electrics.

Did you wire up the heated part too?
Just wondering how the heated part is controlled...

If you just wire it up ... it will be on with no degrees of adjustment. You either need a switch ...... or the proper dials that VW / Audi etc supply that reside in the are occupied by your drinks tray.

As for the seats power for movement, it's two wires ... live and earth :)

Cool, defo want to get the heated part working too.
Like the idea of a nice dial for heat control, maybe use one from one of my old analog synths!

Thanks :D

I didn't bother with the heated part - although i did work out what was involved and it's easy enough to put together, i was just too tight to pay out the extra 40 quid or so for the heated seat switches - they do come up on ebay cheaper from time to time. You will need the pin assignments for the switches to wire them up to the seats but if your mate is competent at soldering / reading circuit diagrams it's a piece of cake :)

Thats £40 EACH for the switches, :-o i have the wiring diagram for the heated seats so will be fitting them at some point when i can justify spending £80 or so on a pair of switches unless some turn up on ebay

I had the LC leather before so already had the elecrics for the seats :)
