Right after much Pestering of curzon and my stock brakes being shocking..

I have around £250-£300 to spend on a big Brake setup..The wheels i have are 17'' Pro racer 2's..

Now How much is needed be milled of the caliper to have the s3/lcr calipers to fit...?
Also is it a simple Job redrilling the discs to 4x100..?

Doing some searching now but im not having any luck on finding the main thread on the 312m conversion

thanks

Yeah I know about redrilling the discs thats fairly straight forward just findin a place to mill the calipers as i dont nw anywere lol...

So S3/lcr/tt 312mm calipers i should go for instead of the r32 calipers

Danny, Duth man to the rescue haha

firstly, it doesn't matter off which of the 3 you get the brakes as they are all the same.
The LCR ones have the audi sign on them same as the the TT and S3 ones.

They are indeed 5x100 and if you get original ones they will have 9 holes of which 2 will fit our 4x100 meaning you need to drill 2 more. I got a place to do this, but when I upgrade to better discs I will do it myself. Simply place the new disc on your 4x100 one. Put the 2 bolts that fit through, and the safety screw. Then you'll know where to drill the other 2.
It will look something like this:

(not my discs btw)

As for the carriers, yes you need to get someone to mill them down by 3-4 mm as shown on my carriers below:

As for looks, I think they look great and vastly improve over oem cupra brakes

Just look how huge in my 16"

I did need to shave a bit off the callipers to clear the rim as they were catching here

hope this helps

Dan the R32 discs are 334mm not 340mm, and they will only just fit under a set of 17's. You may also need spacers so the caliper clears the wheel (all depends on the space inside of the wheels).

As said in the txts its the same process as the TT set up like reuvers done. The only other guy i know thats done it was "F2 Stu" aaaages ago tho.

I just bought this set up off a guy on edition38 which he had on his mk3 cupra, TT calipers with machined down cariers, 312mm discs redrilled to 4x100 and TT braided brake lines, he also threw in a set of ferrodo ds2500pads, got the lot for 230quid so they can be found for less than 350, abit gutted as 2days later a set of 4pot brembos came up for 350!

The TT set up does look impressive though, just cleaning up the calipers then paint and get them on. Cant comment on their performance but its gotta be better than standard brakes, mine just feel dangerous!

 Finally listening to me about brakes Danny its about time.

What ever you go for will be better than standard anyway just make sure there upto the job.

If you have to space your wheels just make sure you get hubcentric ones like i had, dident have any problem with them on apart from abit of scrubing :)
