Rust spot on my new Leon!!

I've just discovered a previously unnoticed deep scratch on the boot hatch of my new 55 Leon which, after a few weeks of lovely road salt, has started turning alarmingly rusty! It's only a very small scratch but has evidently cut straight through to the metal which has turned a lovely shade of rust and the surrounding paintwork has that "oily" look to it!

What do I do? Is there a reasonably priced repair that can save this at an early stage or am I doomed to a costly full hatch rubdown and respray?

It's Black Magic.

I would assume it's not covered being that it was caused by a scratch - albeit a scratch I didn't notice before purchasing it... Grr...

It's unlikely it's covered.
I thought Leon's were made from galvanised steel these days?

The man from Chips Away has just left. He said that where rust has started they can offer no guarantees and the best he could do was scratch out the rest and "de-chip" it - ie give it a touch of paint to cover it. If I'm lucky it won't re-rust but if not it only cost me £35 and I can look into a more permanent repair. He also touched up a couple of minor surface scratches at the same time for no extra so I can't really complain :)

Grrrr!!!

Less than two weeks after it was dechipped it has started showing rust again... This looks like it's going to turn into a full rubdown and respray in a bodyshop [:@][:@][:@]

Unless you lot have any better ideas?
