You might need to give people a bit more info than that, fella.

What engine size is it? When you tried to fix it, what did you try?

it is a 2 l engine and when i tried to fix it i changed the spark plugs, and then the guy at the shop said it could be a some thing with the injector so i got a cleaning fluid for it and now i am lost
It was also standing without being used for about 6 mths

Since i have had the exhaust fixed it runs a bit better but not as it should

Well the good news is you haven't "tried everything" - but you've made a good start.

Try cleaning the throttle body and changing the distributor cap? Both are very easy to do and fix a lot of common running problems, a search on here should tell you how!

When was it last serviced?

When you say it's "running slow", could you describe that in more detail?

I have changed the distirbutor cap and the rota arm, i don't know when it was last serviced but it is due one.

when i mean running slow when you put your foot down it has no power to it and also it doesn't register over 60mph when i am on the motorway but i know i am going alot faster than it says

another quick question how many miles to the gallon does your car do on average as mine is doin an average of 17 miles to the gallon

is it standard air filter?

throttle body will make a difference, does it have a de-cat pipe as that is what gives the 2.0 8v its power

17 to the gallon!! That's not right for a car with no power!

That suggests it's running far too rich, have you checked the O2 sensor in the exhaust?

basically a bypass for the catalytic convertor and replaces with a straight pipe, usually helps performance but it actually works the other way on the 8v if thats what you have

yeah its an 8 v and i had a guy check it out the other week when he fixed the middle part of my exhaust and he said it should be all fine now so

so how would correct this problem
