got 1 or 2 issues at the minute

1.whining noise, the cambelt area sounds rough as a tractor
2.engine making loudish ticking noise when im under the bonnet
3.loud whistle on full boost
crap cv joint
steering feels shite

and today abs/tc light came on.....grrh

done logs on vagcom and had high correction factors, which seem to be getting better now

on number 1 would a worn tensioner bearing give a loud whine on acceleration and judging by the tractor sound coming from under the cam cover these are shot??

number 2..whats the verdict on ticking noise, not coming from the carbon canister area??

number 3, noticed today, from the n249 bypass the hose that originally went to the dv top has slight air leak, if i plug with finger it stops... any ideas what issues this could cause me?? IE noise on boost, rough running etc etc?

cv joint will be done no isssues

any theories on the steering? maybe worn rack bush?

pissed off with the cupra at the minute tbh.

i know i know, im gonna do the whole change.

n249, its the pipe that you remove from the top of the dv and plug...

hissing and air escaping from this plug. so obviously not plugged correctly.

any ideas what issues this may cause and what pipe it is that ets blanked off??

Are you sure you've done this right.
The DV needs it's vac supply to lift it.
My DV was liked to a supply under the intake manifold

I wouldn't even think of just having a cambelt tensioner done. By the time you've had labour to sort that out, you might as well have had a full kit as well. And there's peace of mind knowing everything will be OK afterwards.

Also, you said it's not time for cambelt change yet, but when it is, that's ANOTHER tensioner you'd have to replace at that time.

Nah, you'd be throwing your cash away by only doing half a job
