Running components without an amp

I've bought an amp, and some component speakers and adaptors.

It looks like my speakers are going to be here before the amp, and while I can fit the speakers myself (hopefully) it might be a while before I can get some help with the amp.

Can I run a set of components (Infinity Reference 6520cs) from the standard HU in a mk3 Ibiza for now?

Yup.

It will sound like an improvement too - although when you get them amped up you'll REALLY notice the difference.

What kind of help do you need with the amp? There are loads of people on here who've fitted them in mk3 beezas and would be able to tell you everything you need to know...

You should consider where you're going to cut-in the amp.

If it's going to go in the boot, you'll have to wire the components to the wiring from the headunit ... then when your amp arrives you'll have to remove the speakers again to install the wiring to the amp instead.

A lot of extra effort for the sake of waiting a few weeks for the amp and wiring.

Yeah that's a good point, my amp might be here sooner than I thought as well so I might as well try and get it all done at the same time.

As for help with the amp, I just need help installing it really. I've searched around on here a fair bit, and even made a thread I think, but it still sounds like it's a bit beyond me, all this talk of remote wires and RCAs and whatnot. I've got a friend who knows his **** though, he's not done it with a mk3 Ibiza before but I think it might be ok.
