Hi guys and gals,

Got some lovely rs6 alloys today - just wondering what size tyres are needed to keep them same diameter as the standard alloys and not rub anywhere.

Thanks,

Stu

i had 205/40/17's on mine but were a tad streched as the wheels were 7.5" wide.

So upped to 215/40/17 and they were much better, and had better grip.

Mine only rubbed when it was slammed on coilovers, and that was only on big bumps on the front arch guard.

You will be fine on standard suspension, but it will look like a 4x4 tho!!!

Right then, the alloys are lovely and the tyres are 215 40 17s but they rub at the front when turning and over slight bumps. The bloke from LTC tyres reckons I'll need 7" wide wheels to stop this, but other people on here are having no problems even when using coilovers - I've got the seat sport suspension and it rubs!!

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Its beacuse you've got 215's, I thought they'd be too wide!

I have 205's on mine, coilovers and no problems, you need to trim the arch liner off where it rubs mate!

Should do, but if I were you i'd cut the arch liner then see, 215's give it a wider track thus handling is better and they fit the 7.5 wide wheels better...
