BTCC Knockhill Round 22:

Jason Plato and Darren Turner started Round 22 of the BTCC in 1st and 2nd positions, led all the way and finished the race in that position. It was Jason's sixth win of the season and Darren's best BTCC result.

Ten laps were held behind the Safety Car, with the 24 lap race extended to 27.

I guess it was a misunderstadning of the rules - you take the ballast of your finishing position irrespective of a subsequent penalty. rather than taking the ballast of your final position.

saw it on tele today, while the attraction of touring cars is their ability to overtake, there was some seriously amateurish driving.
seems you can just push a car out of the way if you cant overtake it.

Not renalising drivers seems inconsistent with being pedantic with other rules like the safety car.
