Roof box recommendations

Hi all

I want a roof box for the top of my 5 door leon. I have Thule aero bars which can limit some types of fittings.

Has anyone got any experience or recommendations on boxes? I have rented a Thule touring M(200) which was ideal but they are more than I'd like to pay to buy new and eBay/second hand seems to vary massively in quality and apparently distance from my house.

I will be using it for a folding travel system(pushchair) and general baggage rather than skis.

Any insight would be great thanks!

Hi. I've not long come back from a family holiday in France. I bought a thule ocean 100 to go with their wing bars. It easily fits 3 decent sized holdals in it plus plenty of extra odds and sods. We had a fairly large buggy in the boot with a couple more holdals and bags etc. I found it was plenty big enough for what we needed for just over 2 weeks away with our 2 kids (aged 4 & 1).

EDIT: just re-read your comment and see you already tried this box. I paid £260 for this on eBay.

The clamps that attach it to the bar are really clever, and would attach to any kind of roof bars as far as I can tell. They are like this:

When the box is on the car it's quiet, and you don't even notice it's there. Quite impressed.

That's the box I borrowed and exactly what I'm after... new used! Not full price but not worn out!
I have contacted the towing shop I hired my box from and they do ex demo and ex hire boxes so I'm going down next week to see if there is a good deal on anything there...

Has anyone tried exodus(Halfords) or Hapro? I don't think the Halfords box will fit my wing bars
