Roof bars

I realise these are probably hated on here but needs must I have recently taken up surfing and need to get a set of roof bars to put my board on.

I have done a search but there is not really that much info on them.

Does anyone use them? If so which ones do you use? I know you can get some from Halfords that will fit but I just wondered how good the after market ones are I don’t want them flying off on a dual carriage way.

There is someone who has them, iirc he has a yellow cupra, with Kei Racing 10 spokes, and he was possibly into wind surfing or something.

I have roof bars for windsurfing. I have the Thule bars. Cost the best part of £100 but i found nobody else who made them for the mk3.

got mine from halfords but beware for the cross over between mk3 and mk4 if you're on an 02 plate like me - their lists are awful.

decent bars though and very easy to fit once set up.

I've got some basic roof bars that used to fit my old golf. Pretty sure they also fit the Ibiza mk3.

I don't know what they'd cost to post. But they are just littering up my shed if you want me to work-out a postage cost?

They are simple cheap ones, not aero or anything, they are really noisy at speed if you leave then on the car. Left me know if you're interested.
