Anyone here have any pics of cages in mk3 Cupra's? Im thinking about getting a black rear cage fitted but completely undecided on what style and who to go to to get it done??

Any info would be much appreciated :)

I would also be interested in a polished rear cage if anyone has any info.

Sorry to hijack! ;)

No probs, been hankering after a cage for ages but the thought of ripping my interior out and welding bits in the car really scares me! :( Would look real nice when finished though :)

Just after some pics so i can approach some fabrication places and show them what i want, looked all over the internet but can't really find much info :(

I want something like this, but just in the rear. Don't want anything up front really, could get annoying during everyday driving.....

bear in mind a 'show' cage turns into a load of metal flying about in your car in a crash

metal spears....

Thats very true, don't exactly want a show cage, but just don't want anything up front.

I've got a rear cage (or at least the rear half of a cage) that'd go in an Ibiza. Leg's were shortened slightly to fit around some of the trim, it'd be a squeeze with the standard rear panels in though.

In regards to putting in a cage just for looks, don't bother you'd get laughed at... alot! Most of them are made of cheese anyway, especially the 'bolt in with zip tie special polished sh*te'. If you want a cage then get a decent one and have it fitted correctly...

Numerous cages I've had over time.

Kev..
Could you do me a favour and ask Custom Cages on my behalf about my cage spec?
I just cant get an answer out of them. Need something in writing confirming its spec meets MSA/FIA regs

they were just round the corner from you were'nt they?

It looks so good having a cage in the car, and thats part of the reason im into modding the cars, for performance and looks.

Kev, ur's looks awesome mate!

I couldnt justify fitting a cage, and being without the rear seats, but the cages look so good!

sorry but i cant ignore the fact the having a roll cage without really tracking the car is just so pointless

and if u are going to track it, then u want it fitted properly!!!

show cages suck and are ever so pointless
