I've been doing some research and it would appear that the TomTom is the much better of the two. It's apparantly an easy job to put the cameras on the TomTom.

They have a much better reputation regarding the mapping and screen and seem to be the preferred choice. I'm going for the TomTom next month.

Yes, although there is an additional fee for the cameras on the TomTom of £30 a year.....

Depends if you want the better Nav system and pay the extra for cameras or whether the cameras are more important to you.

There is very little in it. The TomTom is going for around £170 before you subscribe to the cameras (£30 a year) and the RoadAngel for around the same but including camera locations (although will require subscription for updates). Unless someone can tell me otherwise I think the TomTom is the one I'm going for. All the reviews seem very positive.

Yep, got to Chester fine and dandy, got to gloucester fine and dandy, and the mrs got to where she needed to go in London fine and dandy aswell, no detours, no misshaps, just straight to where we needed to go.

Got mine as well. Seems to be a really nice piece of kit for the money. Got me to work and back using the same route Ive worked out as being the quickest so it appears to be working well!! Also updates with route changes pretty fast if you go off track. Im pleased.

I was actually intending on giving it to my fiance for her birthday but I may have to buy her her own one now. I really like it.

I`ve got the RoadAngel 6000 and it has never messed up once in about 3000 miles always gets the camera locations right if you keep it updated (even mobile vans).I bought my old man a TomTom One just because you don`t have to own a PC but there is little in it ,it`s easier to operate but I like the full screen camera mode of the RA.

I suppose it all depends where you drive we haven`t had many vans round here, only on the Mway works on bridges.
