I don't usually keep cars long enough to do much to them but after 2 years of ownership and a baby on the way I don't have the funds to keep buying new cars.
2 years ago I bought a red 54 plate FR150 125000 miles FSH in mint condition for mileage.
It's been a bit problematic for electrical faults and the door seals other than that I've loved every minute of owning it.

So far what I've done to it are, starting with the boring bits,
timing belt
Service every 7-10 thousand.
Rear disks and pads
4 tyres
Ns door seals front and rear
Ignition switch
Hazard switch
Faulty indicator stalk changed for cruise control
Burnt out fog light fuse and wires
And a dodgy dimmer switch.

Now the good bits,
Hids
Golf aero wipers
Fabia rear wiper
Centre leather arm rest
Just finishing covering the roof and pillars in Suade if anyone knows of the black plastics going I can't find any cheap didn't really want to spray them.
Just bought the tt pedals
New red stitch leather gear stick gaiter
New gear knob
Getting the rear windows tinted, but would like to hear from anyone with the measured shades if they look as good as tints?

Performance mods,
Just bought 312mm set up.
Green stuff pads
Ebc ultimax disks
Hose technic braided hoses
Dot 5 fluid
Short shift
I've put 2 Michelin primacy 3 on the rear and still waiting for the other 2 to wear out.

Future plans are
Front and rear anti roll bar opinions on which 1s are best bigger or smaller?
Rear brake upgrades I know it won't make much of a difference but will look good.
Decat, would like to know if it will make it smoke more?
Poly bush everything
Possibly suspension upgrade if I need it after arbs and strut brace.

I did tint the lights but after 1 winter they looked proper rough so cleaned it off.

Cheers guys got rid of the dark headlights cos they got really bad over the winter the tint spay doesn't hold up well to all the salt we get on the roads. Might try the mesh stuff or tint film. Gunna spray the badge up this weekend. I think red is the best colour but it is all personal I don't think there's a bad colour for lc's and lcr's especially the condition everyone on here keeps there's in

Very well looked after from the picks with the mileage its done, a credit to the original owner(s), are the aero wipers look any better than the retro fit aeros? Im in two minds on whether I should upgrade my ibiza

Yea it is its on 161000 now and apart from my arse print still in good nick.
I never thought about them until I read someone's RR and they shows before and afters of them. From that moment every time I drove the car all I could see were the massive hook wipers so I do think there worth it.
Bit of hassle fitting the ns wiper worth the trouble in the end.

So today's lunch time was spent putting a few of my new bits together subtle things I think make the difference.

So today as a Father's Day present I was allowed to play with the car for a few hours so I wired up the fogs and side lights so they come on when you unlock the car looks pretty sweet.

Also removed all the trim I coated in sued as the roof started sagging after a couple of hot days iv got a full lcr headliner and trim coming this week thanks to flee bay.
