revs stuttered / glow plug light flashed ?

hi all i was out for a new years day drive today and i was doing about 50mph on a straight road suddenly the car jus dropped all revs stuttered and went again the glow plug light also flashed while this happened, the car was at normal temperature and i had been driving for about 20mins after this it drove as normal! any ideas as to what is a t fault i wouldnt like this to happen on a motorway or passing out

Its never a good idea to pass out whilst driving imho Sorry cant help with the fault.

I think mine is doing something very similar. Every time I go over a pot hole or some big bump in the road, the revs cut right back and the glow plug light comes on? Any ideas?

turned out to be relay 109 its the main relay for ecu it was burnt out and only occasionaly making contact easy repair can do it yourself fuse is located in panel under steering wheel relay is about 6-7 pound, just pull old one out and push new one in simple

Thanks for that, I may look at the wiring under there and see if I can see anything obvious. The fact it does it over bumps would seem to make sense.

you wont see anything its a sealed square block fuse only way i discovered curiosity got better of me and i broke old one open, sounds very similar to prob i had, good luck hope it works out

So basically just need to replace relay and see what happens? Is the relay similar to like the ones for indicators?

OK I have found that relay under the steering wheel, after removing most of the plastic under there! lol

Ordered a new one too so will just have to wait and see if it makes a difference!
