Sorry if this has been coverd before but my mate has just bought a ibiza fr tdi and wants to remap it to try n keep up with my monster. I have noticed recently that a few other companies have come into the tuning market. For example celtic tuning offer 210bhp for leon fr tdi. Thats a 60bhp increase. I reckon thats 2 much for the standard clutch. I recommend revo as this is proven to be reliable etc. What do you guys think of revo vs the rest?

Thanks

210bhp i think is a bit optimistic, as i know that the injectors on the PD 150's only go to 225bhp before they reach there limit, most remaps will get a region of 170-195bhp....

Past that its unrealible power and most proberly unrealiable RR results....

Most if not all remaps are good, i think the main thing is where you get it from eg, near ur home that way if theres any problem u can have a quick drive back to sort it, and also the price... as most have the similar results......

I personally have a AMD remap and its more aggressive than my friends Revo and Jabba maps, but in that it led to a short life for my clutch and therefore clutch upgrade was needed within basically 6 months...

As you know the searchy button is great help, search for the nearest VAG tuner to urself and head down there and have a look, all remaps are good as long as it has somewhere to go back to if something does (god forbid) goes wrong!

EDIT: if its on a FR Ibiza, no chance on a 210bhp rise on a SMIC.... no chance....

I tune these to 198bhp, with a 80NM of torque increase.

This is £275 all in, and the software is guaranteed for life.
