I've decided having been beaten by a clio 182  the other day that it is definately time for a remap. I can't decide whether to get the jabba custom map or a revo. The jabba is £425 inc vat and claims to give 200-205 bhp and 320 torque. The revo is £399 plus vat and gives 190 bhp and 300 torque. On the face of it the jabba tune is cheaper and more effective but I'm told the Revo figures are more reliable

Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

My mate had big problems in his PD130 when Jabba remapped it, but that might just be a bad map or a bad car.

My mum's Revo'd PD160 smokes like hell, but its one hell of an improvement and its smokey with it off. Her's got 198bhp and 302lb/ft when RR'd.

Another note, maybe you're getting killed because of your hugely oversized tyres. Go back to 205/40s with a good rim protector and watch your acceleration improve.

you dont want more than 300 lb ft of torque IMO, your clutch will start slipping...

its down to personal preferance... its your car,

i went for custom code BTW.

So your willing to pay £500 odd to get a remap but you do not want to get the most power out of your car. Clutches go on PD130/160 cars all the time remapped or not. If the clutch goes just get an uprated one fitted.

i dont want to get the highest torque and highest bhp possible, yes it would be nice but i dont have the money to replace the clutch/flywheel and turbo when that decides to give up...

im happy with the power my car has... its not the figures that count its the way its delivered across the whole rev range...

And how you drive it, I had an AmD'd PD130 with 305lb/ft and in the 15 months I had it, I never had an ounce of clutch slip.

Mum's had hers on for over 2 years with no problems.
