Ive just looked on Revo website and they have Revo listed for FR 170 Diesel, does this mean they are now offering revo again or did they in fact not take it off there site, i thought they had taken it off before?

I think its been there for a while now. I heard that some PD170s have problems after being remapped and some don't. Just depends on each individual car I guess.
Milltek have just released a DPF Bypass pipe for the Golf MKV GT 2.0 Might be something that is worth investigating.

I am thinking of getting my Leon FR 170 TDi remapped. I spoke to a dealer in Preston who said that the there were problems with the DPF and Revo were trying to find a fix for this. The re-map work could be done now but an extra £300 would be needed for a DFP by-pass pipe. That'd be around £800!! (After VAT etc). Unless you're loaded, is that worth it?

Their advise to me was to hang on month or two when hopefully Revo will have a solution that doesn't involve a by-pass pipe.

I'll wait.

Meantime I've started to fill up with Shell V-Power to see what difference that makes...having tried to save money and filling up with cheaper fules.

i am planning on getting the DPF by pass pipe when either custom code or revo release the software (its defintly they way forward) no more regens and smoother running and best of all MORE power. get it around 220/225 bhp and stupid amounts of torque.

Been waiting ages now for them to release the software/pipe but its taking them some time!!!

something to bear in mind for the DPF bypass, is the clutch. i'm planning on getting the bypass done to my car too, but i'm budgeting for a uprated clutch aswell. With the map comes huge amounts of extra torque. So, the standard clutch will be under more stress than it is rated for. I think with the clutch, bypass pipe and map, best to budget about £1500 for the upgrade.
Got brembo's ordered to handle the power upgrade when DPF is taken out
