Reverse Park Camera

Hi guys and girls,

My last car had a reverse park camera that popped out of the VW badge.
I have found that I really miss this feature but wondered if anyone knew of a Seat badge version or if anyone has done their own successful conversion?
I'd love to fit this to my FR.
Let me know.

Cheers!

I would like to do this too with the addition to my sensors. I have a Pioneer 3300BT headunit with camera input but would like to know if anyone has put a camera on an aftermarket stereo.

Ive never seen one on a Seat, you should be able to get an aftermarket one, you can get anything at a price.

I know you can get after market cameras that fit to the car and would probably work with my RNS-510 but I would like to get one that fits in the badge.
Ive looked around briefly but with no luck. I think it might be possible to get the VW version and fit it into the SEAT boot opener (badge) but I was just wondering of anybody had tried and succeeded already.

I would also be interested in this. I believe the RNS-315 is compatible with the reversing camera module it's just working out how to go about it. I was also looking at adding the OPS (optical parking system). You can purchase all the sensors and modules etc from eBay but I'm not sure if it would work on the Leon or not?

I've also purchased a radio with this reverse cam and don't know where to put it. Will be nice to see someone who's done it. The one on eBay that replaces the plate no light looks super though, wish mine was like that.
Also, the Manual that came with the cam is of little use as well, just one yellow cable for video and doesn't specify where to connect power, I am thinking of bringing to the reverse light Power cable.

Looks like a good solution. I may consider it if I can find out if it will work with my Pioneer headunit

Yeah, I've seen those too.
My reservations with them though are that the lense would get dirty so quickly and render the camera useless.
My previous experience with these systems also leads me to believe that the birds eye view of the rear bumper that the badge location gives you is very usefull, as you can see how far away you are as opposed to "just" where you're going.
Plus the pop out badge is much more Cool.

I have had my camera fitted to the rear bumper of my TDI mk1 for several months, and have had a clear picture, only cleaned the lens once when I washed the car.
The car got pretty grubby and its located near my nice sooty exhaust.

Question to all;

That number plate light camera in ebay in link, it shows a simple yellow plug for the monitor. I have an RNS510, and looking at the pics of the back of one there appears to be no socket for said yellow plug. Do I need an adapter or am I missing something?

Wife want's to get me something for father's day on behalf of my son, and this would be perfect assuming it's a straight fit.

Cheers,
Roy
