rev limiter?

Does the 8v cupra sport have a rev limiter installed? The revs tail off sharply at 5500 rpm. just wanna make sure on here before i look like a plonker (no comments pls ) by taking it to the garage and asking them whats wrong lol

5500rpm is well past the peak power/torque band on the 8v hence the drop off in 'umph' above that.....

there is a rev limiter, think it's set at just over 6k on the 8v....

Haha, so you're saying I've managed to push more out of it than the manufacturer would allow?
