:D Hi everyone! Have finally got pictures up of my reupholstered arm rest which I did at the weekend. Its a new 3D carbon leather which is great to work with and straight forward to do (although used to be my trade! ;) ) think it looks so much better now without the dreaded red dots! [B)] The carbon look goes really well with the FR interior. Also I put some felt lined foam on the inner tray, as I didnt think much of the thin foam supplied. Anyway here are the pics... let me know what you think! Cheers.

Hi glad you like it! The top of the arm rest does detach from the main body by lifting up slightly and wiggling it towards the hinges, give a firm tug and it comes off but be careful as the hinges are just plastic. Then you will see two Philips head screws in the centre, two towards the back and one at the front which is locate about an inch down on the catch. Once these have been taken out the top releases away and can then be taken to an upholsterer. The leather that Seat have used is glue bonded to the plastic frame and new leather has to be fixed in the same way. Hope this helps!

Well its a specialist leather which a local upholsterer would have to buy in - the smallest amount I could get was roughly 1.5m in length and cost just over £80 but of course you only need a small amount of it. The whole thing took me about half an hour to do. :D

you should set up a wee business mate and get folk to send them to you and you refurb them, that looks a million times better.

Stu,
The handbrake you have how difficult was it to fit? Looks like it goes under as one piece the console.
Is yours the air metal or alluminium one?

Hi johnbev the handbrake I have is air metal cover and it is one of the easiest add-ons that you could personally fit! It simply slides over the existing handbrake right up snug to the console. There is supplied a small grub screw that you can tighten to secure but mine was such a snug fit I didnt need to use it. Highly recommended! Feels well made and makes the car feel so much quicker! :p It cost about £50. Cheers!

That armrest looks superb! Definitely goes with the FR. You deffo need to do a side-line in them ;)

...Love the handbrake too. Where did you get the kit to modify that from?

Also... Is that the silver door/speaker trim you've added? Do you have a wider shot of the interior of your car? Am thinking of adding similar to mine (when it turns up) and would be interested to see the completed article.

What is it that you've got plugged into your cigarette lighter? Looks very strange!

Yes have brushed aluminium interior trim... part number 1P1064730, not sure how much as we got it thrown in when we ordered the car. It looks good though and does enhance the interior, can recommend that too!!!

This is the only shot I have inside at the mo but can do some more tomorrow to show you in better detail. Also another worthy addition is the Cupra footpedals if you have bought the FR? Cheers!
