I just wanted to share the experience i had trying to put some life back into a second hand cupra back box im planning on putting on my MK2 ibiza. Im pretty sure this might interest anyone who has chrome pipes which have seen better days.

I was originally looking for a cloth and seperate polish to do the job but i came across a product called miracle cloth which is impregnated with a polish/wax on a popular auction site and i was really impressed. I took photos half way through when i realised it was actually working.

PS. im not trying to indorse any product, all i care about is SEATs looking good

before half and half

I used one cloth and worked and both pipes for about 20-30 minutes for the stuburn stains

cheers for the comments

Was really suprised with the result. Was thinking that without a fine abrasive polish it wouldnt remove the hard stuff but also might risk damaging the finish. But the proof is in the pudding. There must be alot of people with similar markings on the chrome that could be removed

some may say lala land....
do like the results, and followed the link and the pics are same! except for the last one

i normally duralit and this is quite good but is a pain as the stuff does fall apart of about 5mins so a tin doesn't last long

[edit]
re-read the advert and seems the ebay seller had permission from Clarkie to use them.
Sorry for any confusion.

same as a decent cloth and some autosol then but with autosol you can wash/replace the cloth and polish some more stuff with it later :)
