Just wondered how easy it would be to respray the brembos on LCR's ?

Got a plan i'd like to do and wondered what was involved in it!

I have a little spraying experience but on nothing that involves getting hot etc.

Any help would be appreciated :)

i'll start with the brakes, i had the brembo decals from the previous owner, they had tried to refurb but the brakes had reacted, not a good sign for me haha

first action was to clean them with preclen, which started to melt the paint, so i left that, and hand sanded them and red scotched, and masked them up

then added the paint,

allowed to fry and added the decal,

finally i clear coated them

prep wise, use a red scotch brite using pre kleen/degreaser to remove any last bits of junk, or use some 800 grit paper, as for colour you can go on with red 2k, or as i did in base, add decals then 2k clear,

Ah thanks for the photos, im after doing them a different colour, more of an unusual colour, not the normal red black or blue, Gold to be precise lol, was wondering if you could buy that sort of paint, or even ask Nissan if they sell the paint for the brakes on the 350Z?

you can mate, go to a local auto paint and have a look at the chips, buy 2/10th and same of clear,

you using spray can or gun? halfords can make you a colour up,

mettalics need light coats, with good drying time in between coats due to the mettalic containt, the paint will get floatation if too much is applied
