I wonder if any of you good people can help me.

I have an 06 (55) FR+ with 33k on the clock. In the last week i have had a resonating drone/humming which appears to be coming from the rear nearside, although brother has suggested it might be coming from the off side. Its not a wheel bearing, had many of these go and it does not get louder when put under load. Sound is there in or out of gear, all tyres are fine, no bulges although the rears are on about 3.5mm even across the board, i've checked for anything obvious in the way or flapping against the tyre and have fully cleaned inside the arches to make sure. Its noticable from 30mph and upwards.

Any ideas before I take it to the dealer, Its under warranty until 19 Jan 09.

Cheers People

is it def coming from a wheel station, could be clutch release bearing if sound is coming whether in or out of gear, try pressing clutch pedal with engine ticking over, see if noise disappears

Could well be a wheel bearing.

Check your rear tyres carefully, check that they're not gone 50p shaped - a few people have had this when the dampers were ready to be replaced.
