Res delete, void warranty?

Hello!

I recently installed the vagsport res delete kit from PP on MY18 Cupra, I bought it new 9 months ago so it still has the factory warranty for another 2 years. My question is does this mod void the warranty on the whole car or just the stock exhaust system?

My concerns are that the dealership could blame the res delete for any failures on the engine/turbo and what not.

Could the added free flowing pipe cause any type of damage/wear on the engine components?

Apologies if this is a repost or if this has been answered already but I could not find any answers.

Thank you

In the UK the exhaust isn't covered by warrenty but not sure if it's the same for you, as for the turbo/engine it won't be effected as the cat is still in place which does all the restricting, they may try and fight you on it but you'd win

In general to void warranty they have to prove your mod has affected that part you are claiming agains.

So for example if you rear lights failed warranty should be fine.

If you dash stoped working warranty should be fine

Engine I would agree with motty225 but you can bet they will say ahh you have made the engine work in a non standard way. Its rubbish in my view but just be ready for a fight although I would hope you want need a waranty claim on the engine.

Also from what I see in the uk unless the modified part is stuck in front of them they dont bother that much.
