After spending ages sourcing a silicon y-breather I tried to fit it today only to find that the plastic lower pipe was split as well. It basically came off in my hand .
With a little futher investigation I've found that there must also me damage to the oil breather pipes under the inlet manifold. The plastic pipe goes into a large t-peice that is covered in oil deposits. There is also a U shaped pipe right under the manifold that is also covered in oil desposits.
The problem pipes are hidden amongst a load of other pipes - don't know what the do or if the contain oil or water. A few of these appear to be clipped to a plate attached to the manifold. Do I have to remove this? Will I run into issues?
I'm searching through threads at the moment but any advice would be most welcome...
