replacing some things... any tips??

right so i need to replace some stuff in my engine bay,

1.Head gasked
2.cambelt + tentioners
3.temp sensor


thinking im gonna get my head skimmed, ported and polished, inlet mani + exhaust mani cleaned while the head is off

so any thing i should look out for while doing these jobs? (not gonna do head will get it done for me unless its easy. and my stepdad is an ex mecahnic so got some help there but anythinkg i should look out for???

temp sensor is a doddle, just remember itll leak coolant when you take it out so have the new one to hand to put straight in its place, then just top up the coolant...

if youre having someone else do the head, you may aswell get them to do the cambelt too, the belt needs to come off to do the head anyway, and the tensioner is only a bolt or two so itll hardly cost any extra

well will be doing it all myself only my stepdad will be helping me. will do cambelt same time then.

done temp sensor, not solved my problem though think it might have been the wrong sensor, replaced the sensor in the radiator, so will replace the one in the block and hope tht helps
