I would disconnect the battery mate.

You WILL need the radio code which might be in the owners manual. If not you will need to get it off Seat and they might charge you.

Nothing els will happen.

I'm getting intermittent problem with my PAS - steering goes very light sometimes and after a while the warning light comes on and the steering goes heavy. It's also causing the dash and headlights to flicker. Seems like the PAS system is drawing too much power. There's a lot of discussion on Briskoda forums about this.

I think I need a new PAS angle sensor. Is this the part you're replacing Sydoggkdy? Do you know the part number and where I could buy one? I've tried Euro Car Parts and ebay with no success. Euro said they might be able to get one if I've got the part number. My car is a 2002 Tdi Sport 130, which I think had a different PAS system to later models.

You should really get a new sensor from your local Seat dealer as they will know what power steering system was fitted to your car, buying from ebay without knowing the correct p/n is a no-brainer as in the early days two manufacturers were used - mainly on Fabias - and you might just waste money on a wrong one or any early less desirable variant.
