Is it possible to take out the bottom section (the part you sit on) of the seats in the Ibiza Cupra so that you can replace it with another one or do you have to replace the whole seat?
lol i've read enough of your threads to know
tbh its not even a mechanics job, if you took it to Seat they wouldnt have a clue lol
i 'think' you have to remove the seat so you can flip it upside down, then start removing clips/screws or whatever so that the base will pull off the frame of the actual seat. i havent tried it with my ibiza but i did with my 206 as i fitted a whole new interior but one of the seats had a fag burn in it so i removed it to get it repaired
sorry i didnt mean it like that, no judgement on my behalf honest
by repair i mean a new piece of fabric was added (by a trimmer)
well if i remember correctly it was about 60quid or so to have the new piece of fabric put on. it was only a small area so didn't seem like i got much for 60quid but the interior i bought cost me £600 which at the time was abit of a bargain cos the going rate was over a grand. the fabric is called alacantra and feels gorgeous so it was worth it.
You only have to look at the Fault Finally Fixed thread to know your not a mechanic, and thats not meant as a jibe.
