Replacing EGR on Seat Leon MKii

Hi

My Leon keeps going into limp mode with the coil light coming on. It's intermittent but becoming more frequent. I want to clean/replace it myself but it's mounted on the underside of the engine - it's a CAYC 1.6.

I potentially have access to a pit so I can get to the underside of the vehicle, but permission is strict due to the nature of the site. Before I arrange permission to use the pit, is replacing the EGR itself difficult? Do I need to remove the DPF to get to the EGR?

Any guides or pointers would be appreciated!

From what I understand, that job is a total pain even with access to a lift or pit.

Thanks. I've since discovered that it might be the air throttle that's the problem, which is a much easier job!

The fault codes should tell you whats up, and should tell you if it's the EGR or the ASV.
